Nice job.
I agree - I think this automated way of checking pledges against targets and against the clock is going to be very popular and entertaining. A big improvement on the Party Chat option of manually counting up tips against targets.
I have been very impressed by what I have seen so far. Quote

However not sure if this just a one off. I went to enter a models room which was going to have a group chat , yet when I entered he had already started. Video showed in progress yet I noticed the chat between him and his friends was in open room, only video was closed.
Has anyone else noticed this, I only mention it as not good if anyone can see what chatting goes on while in a show.

I am not sure that this might be more of a plus than a minus, dunkit.
I can't immediately see any big disadvantage in non-tippers seeing the chat, as long as they don't see the video. Non-tippers already see all the chat in Party Chat now. I don't think Group Chat was intended to have the intimacy of a 1-to-1 private show.
I have already arrived late for one Group Chat and joined it when it was in progress. Seeing the current state of the chat as well as the clock might be helpful in deciding whether or not to join in.
Seeing the chat without the video might also be a little frustrating and might just encourage those who didn't pledge initially to join in. This is better for the models.

Just thought I would bring to attention so that if there was a problem it could be addressed, and everyone aware.

2. There is not an "extension" feature. If, in the time the model sets, he fails to cum, the clock runs out, and ... well, too bad. It seems there should be a way to "extend" a group chat to those already in it, because right now, it would take a new pledging period before the show even restarts. In that time, the model loses his erection.
This just means that models need to set realistic performance goals. The danger on the other end is a model cumming too early or a member paying for what is simply a sub-par show. I'm sure members will find out soon enough which models have good group chats. It's a 50 credit gamble in the meantime.
Models have limited countdown and performance time options. There will probably be more control by the model over show types and quality/energy in performance if options for both of these times are expanded a bit. Quote

VS Titus
In an attempt to see what was happening and what the screen looked like and what non-pledgers could see in the room outside of a Group Chat Show whilst a show was in progress and which I was watching as a pledger, I opened a second window to that models room but with an alternative one of my screen-names. Instead of leaving me with that name outside of the show in Open Room as would happen if the model was in a normal show, the system put me into the Group show with that new screen-name in addition to the name I was already in the show with. After a few seconds both windows froze. Closing one of them I could refresh the other and continue in the Group Chat show as normal.
It would appear that once "pledged" in a Group Room it is for your whole account and not just for that screen-name. Was this the intention?

Yup, same for me too. Firefox here, latest version auto-updated. As soon as the group "tip jar" graphics & countdown clock go up on my screen, my computer's processor starts allocating WAY more of it's resources than normal, and it starts audibly revving up it's cooling fans proportionately, as it struggles to keep up. Very annoying, possibly harmful, and certainly not intended I'm sure. Quote

It seems to overcome the 2 big flaws in Party Chat and Feature Shows, and I will be interested to see how these now fare by comparison with the new Group Chat.
Feature Shows have the same flaw, but on a bigger scale. The model is committed to a long 1 hour show and VIP members know the model will deliver whether there are any tips or not. Lack of tips is a huge insult to the models, and must increasingly deter other models from taking part in new shows.
I was hoping that Party Chat and Feature Shows might be modified to include a "tip to stay in the room" feature
ronnie-uk - Whilst I am an ardent supporter of models and their well-being, and presuming you are still a fellow VIP I am surprised that you canvas for a further reduction in the few remaining VIP perks - eg access to Feature Shows for free.
You seem to be advocating that we should tip to stay in the show.
Tipping in Feature Shows has never been compulsory and if my memory serves me correctly it was not possible to tip in the original shows when guest "Porn Stars" undertook the shows.
To my mind tipping is for appreciation of the model's efforts and should not be made a condition for a VIP to continue to watch a Feature Show.
The purpose of Feature Shows maybe the subject of some debate. From the VS point of view I should think they consider them to be a marketing tool to sell VIP membership and I consider that the models who now undertake them, in addition to be being thankful, I am sure, for any tips they receive, can also use them as an incentive to promote themselves, hopefully increase their customer base and maybe as a goodwill gesture to their regular clients.

There needs to be a balance between VIP member benefits and model benefits, and we may be on slightly different points on the scale. 100 free daily VODs and unlimited access to my own private shows are a big plus for me. I see occasional free feature shows as just a bonus.
Personally I always felt the 1 hour daily feature show concept was over-ambitious. I could not imagine the top models queuing up to do a 1 hour show "for free". You will see from threads in the General Discussions forum that there were a number of problems with "no shows". When I saw that one model received only 1 tip for a 1 hour show I was genuinely sad. My comment that you quoted was simply meant to reflect that.
The new Group Chat seems to have the right features in place to make it work:
1. non-tippers do not get a free show from the performer
2. tippers are not providing a free show for the non-tippers
3. tippers now get a refund if there is no show.

Ronnie, are you referring to the old Feature Show format? If so the models didn't do them for free they were compensated by the site. They received either $200 or $250 for the hour (I forget which). Then not only did those top models do one hour shows but some would stay for two or more. You can go look at the feature show library some models have two or three parts to their features. Part one is the first hour and so on with each part. Those with 3 parts may not have reached the 180 minute mark but they went beyond 120 min.

BUT have an idea on how to improve it for the performers and customers.
I will start with an example and then explain the idea I have to improve the group chat feature.
Example (made up room, but seen this situation a good few times since the start of the group chat)
Performer sets a goal of 2000 credits for a 10 minute group chat show and sets the timer to 10 minutes countdown till the show starts if the limit is reached or back to open room again.
Customers pledge and pledge but the pledge count has reached 1950 credits and the timer ran out so the performer and customers lost a show.
How about allowing the models to decide when the timer runs out if they want to accept what has been pledged so far for the show time they set originally ?
So what would happen is the timer runs out but the model gets an option coming up on her/his screen saying "Are you happy to start a group show ? the amount pledged is XXX and the group show will last XX minutes ?"
See this way the performer atleast gets what has been pledged so far, they maybe happy with doing a show with what has been pledged and also customers can/may still tip while they are in the group chat once it has started, sometimes the timer runs out and only just misses the limit or half the limit and I guess most models would rather accept the group chat show then lose the pledged credits so far. This ofcourse will be upto the performer if they decide to accept the show or just end the group chat and go back to regular chat losing all the pledged credits and starting from scratch again.
Just an idea and I think it will work and this way of doing it gives the control to the performers to decide if they want a show at the pledged credits so far.
Keep up the good work VS and happy to see such new features being added to the site.
Best Regards

Asti - I was just referring to this latest round of feature shows which were intended to appear every day. I assumed the models are not paid, or are paid very little, judging from the "no shows". The hourly rate for the old feature shows sounds quite attractive. Thanks for the info. Quote

If the VOD is made available , I think it should be a paid VOD ... and not free for VIP , cos it would be possible to tip just 50 credits to get acess to a group chat and then end up with free vod material for the duration of VIP membership.
I do not think that would benifit the models , I think there are too many members that think a 25 or 50 credit tip entitle them to unlimited access to a model for hours on end.

We are recording the Group Chat but we have not decided when and how to make the VOD available. I can see it being one of those VIP membership benefits in the days or weeks to come...Don't quote me on this though.
The above was Titus's response to the question regarding VOD availability for Group Chat.
