If you are looking at the current top 20, that is based over the last 7 days in which he may not have been on and earned any credits.

It is similar for the monthly FOTY positions, if you don't work enough during the month and earn credits for that month you don't get a high enough placement.

Holding #1 in FOTY though is based over the last year and the credits earned, thus he is there based on earnings. Check out the Hall of Fame page.

Hope that helps answer some of your questions, I do not know the exact details but that is a general reference. The categories of each contest explain how they are acheived.

I must be very naive. I was under the impression that Flirt of The Year would actually mean " of the year" and cover many of the different categories like parties, groups, viewers choice, stamina, and their position in their country. And maybe even things like flirt phone and VOD watching etc and also the models " manners" on the site and be willing to talk to visitors to the room
It seems I am wrong and by the " rules" one model could get a huge tip in January and do the minimum of time in the rest of the year. I was under the impression that a yearly competition meant over the year and that the playing field was an even thing for all the models. Yes I am aware that FFF have separate prizes for some of the different areas, but I believed that "Flirt of the Year" should be a wide term that covered all aspects of the site and therefore reflect the status that goes with such a title.
You mentioned time qualifications for various things. Does this really mean a picture of the floor being on line many times for over an hour or so with the topic sign saying go to another room. Maybe this is cheating???

Yes guys, your postings are so correct. The name of the competition should be " Farce of the year" My congratulations go to the wonderful guys who try and provide a great whole year for all of their guests with fun, teasing, action and a welcoming room where you become that special person. And yes FFF please change the " rules" so everything is fair.
The flirt of the year should be the guy who averages the best in all things like parties, groups, pvts etc and can represent his area well.
But maybe that is a dream

This is the way to be Flirt of the year!!!
A hi and the usual first tip, then ignored in a silent room for about 20 mins.
then:
LargeMirror: for 500cpm in pvt what will you do that is extra special
XXXx: I can chat
Then the screen will be cleared and everyone else ignored as well.
Not bad for number 1. That is they way to win

That's just so unfair for the rest of the models who have genuinely worked their asses off for the whole year

must be great to have a very rich customer to buy you the winning spot in the comp

I think it is great for those who win prizes in the FOTY contest, but I don't take it too seriously. As you say, dannigirl, one or two big spenders can decide who wins.

I see that the likely winner has a badge showing that more than 2000 members have included him as a favourite. My current #1 has a badge showing that more than 4500 members have included him as a favourite (in his first year here). I don't think he wins any FOTY prizes - but I (and many others) love him all the same :angel

You are right Ronnie, my fave will always be my fave regardless of if he wins or not, I just think it's terribly unfair for some rich dude to buy the contest for his fave and he hasn't done the hard yards :mad

LOL, the contests are what they are. Not just the FOTY but the same happens throughout the year for all the contests. You will have those that can pay for the win, you have some that win by earning a lot of credits laying there bouncing to vibrations with no other interactions, and you have some that can pull a win fully interacting with their room. Much of it is to the whim of those spending the credits and what they want.
There are some that are a little more balanced requiring a set number of hours and so forth.

Support your favorites and help them reach for those wins or better yet reach their goals, primarily just have fun.

I am just a very new guy here, but could someone please explain to me about the FOTY comp with the overall positions in the comp..
How can a person who:
is not in the top lists of his area be number 1 he was at number 4, but has now completely disappeared
is not in the Mr month for the last 2 or more months
has not been in the top 20 for a long time
be FOTY number 1
I am not criticizing him, and I have really tried to go and chat etc with him, but most times I just get a picture of the carpet in his room, or told, on his chat topic to visit another room, or when others try and chat he just clears the screen and ignores them. Could some guys help me please??

Hey guys and happy new year !

You have to qualify for flirt of the year . In order to qualify u need to broadcast before september .
Flirt of the year is based on overall credits earned by the model within the 12 months period .

Of course you can win this contest with a single tip or in a single day , but u still have to broadcast during the year in order to qualify .

For instance in contests you need to broadcast at least 2 hours to qualify , not matter the amount of credits u get .

The worst and unfair thing about these contests is the 2 hours extra time after midnight . If you start a private show at 11:59 pm and end it at 1:59 pm , that will count for the contest day that just ended 2 hours ago .

This way , the sugar daddy and his boys are waiting ... go online just before midnight and then boom . You wake up 2 hours later losing the contest

)

But hey , one way or another , it s all for customers
