I'm sure this has been raised here before so apologies for raising it again ... I was hoping to see some of Steele Stallion's VODs but, as with some other models, the screen says he's in "the top 1%" so there's "limited access" to them. As it happens, he was on 'live' briefly just now, so I asked him about this. He said the access limitation is done by the site, not by him, and it was "out of his hands." He added that he'd "love to have his dick looked at" when he's not on-line, so clearly if he had his way then his VODs would be available to anyone.

The reason for this "limited access" to VODs seems to be to get us to see the models in the top 1% "live". That's all very well if you're in roughly the same time zone, and can be on-line when they are, but what about those of us outside the USA? This is a 24-hour site after all and seeing their VODs may be the only way we can see some of these hotties in action.

I think this is a very short-sighted policy because the model loses out financially if we can't see (and pay for) his VODs. In addition, they make a very good adverts, in that if the VODs are hot then you're more likely to make the effort to see the guy "live." On the other hand, if you can't see his VODs then you're just going to move on to someone else whose VODs *can* be seen and the first guy could probably lose out after all.

I did notice a clause which stated that the F4F system itself restricts the VOD access "unless the model chooses otherwise." My brief chat with Stallion suggests that he may be unaware of this choice, so if that's the case maybe some kind Moderator will advise him that he can lift the restriction if he wishes. From what he said to me it's clear that he'd like to do so. Then we can still see him, and any of those other 1% models, at any time of the day or night in our own overseas time zones when the models themselves are fast asleep ... Cheers Quote

Sometimes the studio model works for makes the "choice" for them on if their VODs are publically available. Quote

I'm sure it has their good reason, as one that I think.. It permit more publicity to the others performers that aren't making as much or would be newer and less popular, like me let's say ;)!

And if I do not mistake myself, maybe a VIP user doesn't have those restrictions and they can also review they past sessions with perfomers. If so, it would be a restricted area for VIP acess which would make sence aswell.. But I am unsure of this part.


Though VS studio always make good decisons and I am pretty sure it has been debated before it gets applied that way. I'll let an administrator answer you better !

Your fav model may not be aware that he can ask VS to make his VOD's available or he may not want to be the bad guy by telling you no.

As to why the policy exists in the first place, VS is likely of the opinion that VOD revenue from top models is less than the revenue lost by displacing PVTs to VOD. If I recall the math correctly, even as few as 1 PVT per 5 VODs displacement would result in a net loss to VS.

Nothing inherently wrong with the policy; members need to understand this is a business.

just to make clear ...Its not Flirt4free that block anything... When the model is in one of the top models (top 1 % i think) he can make this choice... If he said it was not him, maybe his studio decided to do it

And I just checked your fav model Steele Stallion and his VODs are Unblocked... for me it shows that i could watch....

VIPSs also cant see it... unless it is their own private shows than VIPS can watch their own VODs for free everytime they want...

yeah i block mine But i have my reasons... I think private live show is so much better than watching a VOD haha.. and also to be honest i dont like the VOD FREE previews showing the middle of the show( when we are already naked) sometimes I unblock when Im trying to win a contest or something like this though...

I think UglyCouch is right about some of the studios. I've had some Pvts with several Russian guys in the past and have notice that their VODs aren't available at all to anyone.

As to the math of Pvts vs VODs, I wouldn't know how to calculate that, but Pvts entirely depend on (a) the model being on-line in the first place and (b) being taken into a Pvt show in the second place. If no-one does take him pvt then he loses out altogether, whereas if his existing VODs are on-line for 24 hrs a day then they could at least generate some income while he's fast asleep. It might not be much but it would be better than nothing

I only raised this question because of one particular model ... It may not happen again if I don't find any of the others in the 1% bracket particularly interesting ... I'll just have to see when I come across them ) Quote

No criticism intended, William. I copied the notice from your VODs because you were the first 1%er that popped into my mind when I went looking for a copy of the notice. In hindsight, I should have blanked out your nic when I copied the notice.

Flirt gives you the option and you are entitled to control your VODs however you like. To me this is similar to your right to control the tenor of your room by banning rude or disruptive members. Frankly, I would have no objection to ALL models retaining control of their VODs, not just the guys at the top of the charts.
