so i have numerous people that have come in my room the entire spanse ive been a model on here who have either :
A: just lurked and never said a word, no matter if i openly say hi, whisper hi, or whatever means of stimuli could be offered.
B: have openly stated that they have no intention of joining the site to go pvt with any model but wish to continue chatting.
C: wish to continue chatting with me but if they want to see anything they will go to another model to watch due to the fact that im not gay ( which i find extremely offensive because if reversed im sure there would be some choice words exchanged )
what do i do with these people, some of my good friends on here have done nothing but chat 95% of the time so i dont want to become a stone and not talk, but if thats all im gonna be "used" for here thats not at all what gets the bills paid either. suggestions? Quote

Peter Pizzoli alas the non-talkers are an issue on the site and really show a great deal of disrespect for the performers.
If it is a member hanging out in the room no talking it is possible that in fact they might be hanging out in several rooms merely to earn boost points.
The grey viewers are always a problem which the site tried to deal with by allowing them to watch & talk in party chat (Big Failure for sure).
Why any viewer would bring up the gay issue is just plain stupid as it really should not matter.
Please don't give up on not talking even if the viewer is unable to tip you. There may be others in the room who just might just jump in and surprise you. I would like to say that there is a quick fix to this issue, but not the case.
By you posting this message perhaps others will be able to give you some more positive feedback. Think you took the first step with this posting. Quote

oh no, i wouldnt dream of giving up on talking as that is what i enjoy most. theres nothing better than having a horrid day, jumping online, and meeting a complete stranger and they just indulge in such a great conversation that you forget all your woes, even if just for an hour. its great! what i mean is the ones who have been coming in for years, i know by name, we talk, we talk for hours, but they have never done so much as tipped 10 credits. i get that not everyone can, but what gives? the least you can add is 50 dollars i believe.... after 3 years youve enjoyed talking to me so much that you have not had 1 chance to buy 50 dollars in credits? its possible, but highly unlikely. i cant just tell them "sorry this is a job, if youre not gonna do anything we cant talk" but at the same time i spend time typing to them that i could spend typing to people that will actually do something, and they leave cuz they feel ignored, its a vicious circle. I totally get what you mean there. Sort of think if members keep coming back to your chat room that perhaps with the credit purchase specials that often pop up that they might consider purchasing a few if merely to tip you purely for the chat. One thing that members can to do help you out is to hit you up with boost points if they have them, and if nothing else write a review for you.
I don't get why many viewers act this way as this fishy has no problem with the chat. Quote

I had the following discussion with a performer I visited for a long time and chatted with during the day:
Performer: I thik some people not respect my time...
Performer: here and in other places
ChrisDK: what do you mean??
Performer: they have favourite models, but when they spend all for them, then such people visit me and other models for talking...
Performer: It is not fair....but later people think about us that we think about money....We think about time...
Performer: it's big problem
Performer: Trust and respect
Performer: I also think of impudent models
Performer: People spend for the favourite. Come back to the usual.... All complain. But the respect is not present absolutely
... he claimed he didn't include me into these thoughts, we had a dozen privates before he left the site, but still made me feel that me, too, I just "wasted his time" and it went downhill from there ...
I am not sure what point I wanted to make with this, hope though that it shows that you are not alone with this impression. Quote

I have seen performers use various techniques to deal with friendly, but incessant, talkers:
1. go on a break (10 or 20 minutes)
2. switch to multi-user show
3. start a short group show
Option (3) might be best, Peter. It keeps members in the room, but reminds them that you are here to earn credits. It can also attract other members - with credits - to your room. Quote

There will always be annoying grey users and if need be turn them off for a short while. Keep in mind most of us started out as grey users before registering though so I wouldn't recommend a permanent silence. Some guys will never respond and there are 50 threads in this forum about that, if they aren't responding to you just ignore them back and they will join in if so inclined. Those who only chat however are another issue as they view their time here differently than those who actually spend credits. For me if I am getting to know a model or just intend to chat without a private I always tip in small amounts while chatting as I know your time is worth something and you wouldn't be here if you couldn't earn money.
Ronnie makes some great points. Taking a break can clear the room giving you a fresh start upon returning without offending members. Another way to remind members you are there to earn credits is by putting a tip menu in your room note at the top of the page. You might need to go in and out of Party Chat to complete the tip request but it might be worth a try while sending that silent message to members.

i cant speak for this model, but what it sounds like he was getting at is the members who go to other models rooms for like an hour, spend 1000s of credits on them when they barely pay mind to whats being said in the room (we models do our research, going to other models rooms to see how busy or slow it is, whats working for other people, etc etc) but after spending all their credits join your room and stay and talk for hours without so much as a 10credit tip. thats what i took from the above quotes. i wouldnt take it personal
to everyone else, you make good points as well. i will try these
