Hey guys. I'm seeking to find a "guide" to tax deductions as an internet model. I have found a bit of info online but none seem to be very solid and I've gotten a mixed message as a result. Does anyone have a link to anything to tax deductible items for an internet model? I have started a separate business account specifically for IM and want to start this year off correctly as my last year as an independent contractor proved to be a learning experience for me. Thank you very much for any guidance or help in advance!

Also talk with your Studio Manager , Executive and/or Model Support here .

Some of the above are tax deductions in United States .
Certified Public Accountant is used by many of the models .

Ask Turbo Tax online to ask questions too .

Some deduct many expenses . There used to be a topic in Performer's Forum in the past .
Some are partial deductions . Few are full deductions . You will need to keep receipts and a finance diary too .
Internet , some utilities , computer , outfits , etc are some deductions used in the past .

Steve I think the best guideline is to exclude those things that you would be doing regardless. Can only speak as a Canuck, but doubt that those items would be allowed. Having said that you could keep a record of the amount of time that you spend online and I guess use that % for the whole year. Again something to be brought up with a tax professional for sure.
