I am not sure if some of the performers on the site realize that sometimes it takes a long time for the site to send notification out to the viewers who FAVed you. If you get discouraged and wonder why no one is showing up in the room this might be the prime reason.
I think many performers just log off and feel that no one is interested in them. The best solution is to open a twitter account and get the viewers to follow you. However seems some performer have something of a fear of doing this. I would suggest that they really consider it and yes it is pretty safe just as long as you have the privacy setting on.
Hopefully some performers will give this a try.

gofish, you also need to consider that sometimes the fact of the matter is that, due to time differences, sometimes the members who favorited a performer during the weekend simply aren't available during the week (or vice-versa), or happened to catch a performer during an atypical time (for either the member or the performer) and aren't able to connect again right away.
As for the twitter, yes, it is helpful in letting fans know when the performer's online, but some studios prohibit their models from having work-related twitter accounts. Faulty though it is, the current site notification system (which is vastly improved from what it once was, though still occasionally glitchy) is still the most universal way of notifying members that a model is online.
