I know I'm rambling. But I love comics. Marvel, D.C. I like super hero comics, Star Wars comics, graphic novels, etc etc. I am man enough to admit that when I read "Fallen Son : Death of Captain America" I cried. Because it was so moving, and so real, if you get what I'm saying.
I am playing Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. If you don't know, it's partly based on Marvels Civil War comic spread. And it works out GREAT! Obviously, they switched it up a bit to make it work. And it does. I truly recommend it. The way it is combined with the comic series is almost identical. Showing Marvels dedication and love for its characters and staff.
My final piece on this is sort of a warning. If Disney wants to make cash off Marvel, go right ahead. Just don't destroy what billions of fans have come to love and respect. Don't turn Captain America into just a PSA (Public Service Announcement) telling kids to treat others well and eat their broccoli. Don't turn Wolverine into a soft little kitty. Don't put Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, and Donald at every corner turn in our pages and pages of our books and comics. And PLEASE, don't have the Hulk suddenly have great grammer. Otherwise, SEAN SMASH!!! when i read x-men back in the day, wolverine's exact back story was one of the most sought after and closely guarded secrets in the marvel universe. i liked the way they did his movie but it kinda took a lot of the fun out of xmen. i wont go into details in case someone hasnt seen it.
i hope beast is next for origins. loved him with the avengers Quote

When I was young I loved the stories of "Asterix and Obelix"... I'm not sure if it's available in USA too, but I loved it... Some day I tried to cook myself the magic potion of Miraculix, but my mom told me better not to drink it...
Yep these are here in the USA. In fact you can even find them in our local libraries, kid's section, I kid you not.
Great characters, lines, art. Made the ancient world inviting. For those who love tall tales and puns.
Made me respect those indomitable Gauls
And look at the names of cities and tribes with an alert eye

I know, I know, lame. But I always identified with those characters more than with superheroes, especially Betty! LOL
I actually have a couple of the original Star Wars comic books lying around my house somewhere. I wonder if they are worth anything! Quote

omg i have a star wars MANGA that follows a new hope pretty much word for word.
i am so embarrassed for admitting that.
i wanted to read the serenity comics that are supposed to come after the firefly show but i didn't really like the art style and couldn't get into them.
when i was little i used to draw picture books and comics none very good or marketable but i was always full of stories.
i asked for a tablet for drawing with he computer for chirstmas and i'm thinking of starting a webcomic about my antics on cam. so if i get around to that i'll let you know.

I used to draw comic books too. And typed out stories on my grandmother's old electric typewriter.

Do try them again, Those Left Behind and Better Days add so much more to the stories. Browncoats for EVER! Quote
