There once was a pervert poet

They had no need for dishes
they were each others plates
Eight limb holdhim pokeher
Was the only game they played
No holds barred, tap out.
(All limbs and balls in play)

Kama sutra, yoga, twister.
Bondage, masochism, rape.
Their angry sex was heavenly
Their make up sex was great
Any fancy gotem
All the toys and the props
Heads they were on bottoms
Tails they were on tops

Between every pose
He scribbled his prose
His rhythm was sublime
His iambic pentameter
Flowed best while slamming her
And she vocally rated each line

Together they wrote great volumes
Of sensual juicy text
And qualified each statement
With investigative sex
They graded every measure
By feelings they received
And would not stop the readings
Until passions were relieved

Ancient - We had ... Arthurian love.

Chronicler - What? Kind of platonic? Idealistic in a doomed kind of way?

Ancient - No. Not that. It was very passionate in its youth. No. I mean the priest swore us to vows that we could not keep.

Chronicler - What was so difficult to keep? Did you ever stop loving her?

Ancient - Never for a minute. But we use "love" in many senses. We are so imprecise in this way.

Chronicler - Oh so you didn't have true love.

Ancient - You speak as if you understand what this means. What do you think this means?

And so began a long interview. Much longer than can be captured here. Socratic questions from the ancient. Long, well thought out replies from the cronicler.

Chronicler - So we have agreed upon an incredibly concise, well understood definition of true love. Now did you have it with her?

Ancient - To understand that you must see both hearts clearly, not just one. We cannot be sure of hers because all we have are her words.

Chronicler - Hypothesize.

Ancient - I will not indulge in idle speculation.

Chronicler - So you are willing to go to your very grave without knowing if you have ever had true love?

Ancient - You have lept in your reasoning. But many people do, go to their...

Chronicler - How do you know?

Ancient - Because I have seen how careless people are about this thing. But they do not know what they don't know and don't mind very much therefore.

Chronicler - I feel that I have wasted part of my life talking to you.

Ancient - Ok let's change the subject...

Oh sweetie... You are so kind.

But I am a man. It is just as well... because this time it's gotta be true... so true bb.

Now go launch a thousand ships (or drop as many slips?). I've got some serious ruminating to do.

-----------------------Woman of Sparta---------------------------

Our battles last so long, days of messages, you, armored and then gone;
is there any way, we can stop this tragedy; we women of Homeric song?

Unrolling. On us like a tidal surge, pulling us apart, our hands still held out;
Standing tall, so proud, as the shadows grew and covered the day with doubt.

Defeated, alive; I Ainia, quit this field, un-made warrior, left no shield;
I lost my honor, I lack the strength for this, my courage fled, and so I yield.

With another heart delivered, our sacrifice led to slaughter;
you, desired daughter of Leda and Swan, child of Sparta.

Where are you fallen, and who, daughter of Sparta, who caught her?
Broken and bruised, brown with dust, lay I upon Troys fields golden.

Weep Trojan woman, weep, tear clothing, broken heart, torn hair;
dry cooling ashes of our love now spread by the air.

Ainia and Alcippe, spirits of our green lands lust,
fallen now, in blood, lain bare in evenings dust.

No longer standing on the field, before the walls,
No longer loved, no longer called.

Thanks much! Glad it brings a smile to ya. Though I don't know what our shrinks would say...

And by the way, used to be that Red Barchetta was a fav of mine. You had to keep your eye on Rush, they would bring out some pretty creative stuff. My interests have changed now but those guys definately left their mark. Cool.

Agreed Dudley....and Rush's Neil Peart beeing called the best drummer of all time and knowing he is writing those lyrics stil amaze me...those guys are still doing it since 1972 and the music and lyrics they put trought all those years like i said amaze me...keep going on Dudley like i said i love reading you....

The evil Djinn grinned wickedly...

He saw what he could do...

She needed to be humbled, to be brought low. She was protected by a well-meaning but too careless godmother. Who weaved a wall of spell around her.

Her beauty must not be touched for it was her most treasured thing and thus guarded well by fairey. He could not play thief with her wealth nor change the perceptions of the people around her. He could not age her nor regress her. He could not isolate her nor take health from her.

But he saw a chink in the walls protecting her. And his punishment fit her crimes so well.

He snapped the thumb and middle finger of his left hand... And she began to grow. Slowly at first. While she shopped in the department store of her town's mall. But then so rapidly. She crashed through the roof of the mall and roared out a terrifying "omg"

Her beauty, her proportions, were carefully preserved. But she now towered over the tiny village. She was now a giant, a titan, but not like those of the myths. People were only now dimly aware of her good looks as they screamed in terror at her advance through the streets of their fragile seeming burg.

She stumbled around in shock, in her now bus-sized high-heeled shoes. Destroying streets, carelessly knocking down buildings. Mumbling out "I'm sorry. Really sorry." as she cut her swath of clumbsy destruction... her mumbles making the windmills on the edge of town rip out of the ground from the force of their spinning and then to crash down in shambles when she turned her head in another direction.

The Djinn was delighted. He sat down to watch the result his craft...

Can anyone save her? Is it curtains for her? Will she ever own more than one pair of shoes now?
Will she fight Godzilla?(oh no... there goes toledo! go go Godzilla! )

You'll know soon if you watch... aigggghrrshhhhhhhhhh!!! *crunch crunch crunch*

No.op inspired:

Skyward
A majestic flying dragon
I heard
It carries dreams past the horizon
It's lair
A colossal castle in the air
No maps
Have been drawn that can take you there
Scales shine
Off the stars with a deafening glare
Blindness leads to despair
The mighty beast spirals downward
Shattering all that is structured
Splinters appear in fantasies
Heaven's angels do as they please
Stars begin to fall from the sky
Aspirations run dry
Gusts blow
The midnight sky no longer has a glow
Havoc is wrought by the breeze
In these winds I feel at ease

--------------------------No Anesthesia--------------------------------

Late at night I sit and chant, scribble on paper, til my hands are cramped
Putting spells together, praying theyll work, failing over and over
To find the right hook

Sacrificed animals, blood, feathers, bones; liter the courtyard, outside my home
Offerings to demons, gods, entities, spirits unknown; attempts to gain favor
To open the book

Spinning and weaving, the roar of my loom, twisted threads flying, my chest heaving
A tapestry enchanting, so detailed with colour, you cant resist, you need to discover
Your need to look

A heap, I lay, makeup a wreck, exhausted I sleep, only hours to go, until I repeat
This ritual so hopeless, yet driven by desire, another failure, to fuel the pyre
Another page, in a book

Come sorrow...
come like the leaves falling off the branches,
come like the autumns rain,
Come sorrow,
come like the sound of an old guitar... lonely night
come like the painful heartbeats
Come sorrow
you sweet lap that never abandons me...
O refuge of lonely soul
Come sorrow... come

*holds tight to you, calming, quieting, breathing slowly, pulls us all together, each piece back in a place it almost settles properly into, lays beside you with your head on my shoulder, my hand in your hair, and my hand holding you near, your heart beat slows, my breaths even and deep, rocking you to sleep, your arm across me, keeping me calm, my shattered selves unwind, my eyes still, my urge to run, my urge to kill, fall far away from me, my body softens, opens, relaxes, becomes whole again, the memories heal, your tears have stopped, your moans escaped the room, the night noises slowly withdraw, the streets silent, the trees newly leaved, the light glows softly through the windows, we sink deeper, in shared space, in contact, in place, only touches away, any moment able to reach out, calm each other, recover *

-----------------------Warm------------------

Here, hold my breath
Feel the tremble I know best
The fear in my mind is the echo in my heart
Cold and plain
As you watch me
Fall apart

These tears are warmer than the sun

The heart I share with you
Maybe manic or diseased
But always true
If you keep me here you can chase away this pain...
I'm warm again and in your light I'll stay

These tears are warmer than the sun

Sequel to "In Dillan's Grove"

John Lillison

She lay six feet under the ground,
So long that I ceased to come a-round.

But then her dead ears heard the kissage
That I placed upon your visage

So now I need Buffy
To give her a stakerotomy

Lest Dillan's Grove be the park
where I have twice lost my heart.

Dillan's Grove III - The Return

My former love stood before me
From her right hand hung the head of Buffy.

A splintered stake from below one nipple did protrude
But it did not seem to blunt her need for food.

"Brains... Brains..." she still moaned.
Even though Buffy's was still in her gastric zone.

When caught between two lovers, friend heed my advice...
Sometimes you can escape by describing how tempting one's brain would be on ice.

I reach for you, feel nought but cold air;
I call for you, my words dissipate in the silence;
I look for you, see only blackness;
My life shatters.

Dillan's Grove IV - Armageddon

My first love found my second
Deep in Dillan's grove...

She brought a zombie army...
The other a V'Hlurg defense sector wove.

Particle beams set the trees on fire
Zombie berserkers liberated V'Hlurg brains with piano wire.

Nothing remains now but the carnage
Dillan's grove... my peace... my sanctuary is...

No more.

I never thought it would come to this
Angel of death blowin me a kiss
The grim reaper he just laughin
Giddy bout the way i be actin
-My lust for livin has lost it's passion
Life off course like it be crashin'
Nothing left, no meaning within
This the swan song, I hear the violin
-Standin on the precipice
Thinkin if I will be missed
This ain't no time to reminisce
-Damn fat lady bout to hit her note
Devil got his hands around my throat
Take a step and it's all she wrote...
